Poem – The Fawn by Pam Pride

The Fawn

I find a piece of wood on the trail

so closely resembling a deer hoof

I want to pocket it.

I resist.

Let others discover and delight in it.

I am rewarded.

Up ahead, a tiny fawn is curled in the grass.

Just looking.
