YWCA Olympia Lunch-On(line) – virtual gathering
June 30 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm PDT
Join YWCA Olympia during the lunch hour to turn ON your anti-racism skills!
Staff have re-imagined our annual in-person luncheon for a virtual space. We are calling it Lunch-On(line)!
Whether you are new to the idea of racial justice or have some experience, all are welcome to come learn with us. Join us in conversation and register today!
What’s in store for Lunch-On(line) Participants:
A) Learn about our programs that work to eliminate racism and sexism
B) Discuss how to support collective anti-racist work with YWCA staff, boardmembers and fellow participants
C) Invest in racial justice in our community
D) Participate in a preview of one of YWCA’s upcoming Social Justice 101 Workshop Series (This is an optional one-hour mini workshop that happens in the 1 o’clock hour.)
Tickets are by sliding scale donation. However, no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
The goals of our Luncheons, which previously have been in-person events, are to engage in dialogue with the community about YWCA’s mission, values and programs. They also serve as a fundraiser. As a nonprofit organization, YWCA Olympia relies heavily on community support to provide programs and services focused on our mission of eliminating racism and sexism.
*How do I participate?*
Please register to join us – using the (link) portal outside of Facebook. Further details, including information about the day’s agenda and Zoom link, will be outlined to registered participants via email.
For questions, please contact us by email at email@example.com.
About YWCA’s Racial Justice Series
We believe that our collective movement toward anti-racist culture in Olympia requires that we lean into an ongoing, lifelong commitment with our whole hearts and minds. YWCA Olympia invites the community to share this commitment through regular opportunities that will increase our individual and collective awareness of race and racism and support our mutual growth. We are asking the community to join us in this process of shifting learning into practice by participating in YWCA’s Racial Justice Event Series.
