We are thrilled to invite you all to our 2nd online Meaningful Movies network-wide event, on the topic of homelessness. The event will begin with a screening of the film followed by a panel discussion with the filmmaker Melinda Raebyne, community leader Jason Cockburn, the founder of the Tacoma-based organization, Power of Two, Dakoda Foxx, and the Executive Director and Founder of Jewels Helping Hands in Spokane, Julie Garcia.
Cost: Screenings are free; We gratefully accept donations to help offset the costs of presenting the films we screen. Suggestion: $5 Individual, $10 household. After registering, you will receive a zoom link for the screening and panel discussion.
In “Stories of Us: Camp Second Chance”, Director Melinda Raebyne embeds herself at one of Seattle’s homeless camps over one winter, challenging public ignorance and humanizing a population that locals would rather neglect.
